To-date, The MOZO (Modern Living Zone), is the only development in Toronto to receive an A+ from the Toronto Star’s Architectural Critic, Chris Hume. The Mozo is truly a magnificent modernist structure. Rising 14 levels and housing over 200 suites, Mozo makes its presence felt yet some how it seems like it was always there. Developed by Context Developments and designed by Architects Alliance, it was completed in 2004. Suites range from 550sqft to well over 2000sqft. Prices start at approximately $400 per square foot but can easily rise to over $500 per square foot for a prime penthouse. Ceilings in non-penthouses are 9’ tall and stretch to 11’ in penthouses. Facilities include 24-hour concierge, fitness area and party room. The Mozo represents the best that’s happening in Toronto’s housing scene, lets hope more of this kind of development happens.
