LOFT BUILDINGS

The Century Lofts
365 Dundas Street East
The Century Lofts is an original brick and concrete 2 storey loft structure located in perhaps Toronto’s worst area, generously coined South Cabbagetown, (east of Sherbourne). Completed in 2001 by a developer that is not worth mentioning (and quite frankly who is a useless individual). The original building was built in the 1940’s in the Art Deco motif. It was the Imperial Optical Lens Factory. Featuring 11’ ceilings and concrete mushroom cap columns, the building had excellent bones to work with. Lofts range from 470sqft studios to 1150sqft two bedrooms. Housing just 39 units of which half are on ground floor, the building has no facilities whatsoever. Pricing here will vary but expect to buy a loft here for approximately $325 per square foot. The Century Lofts is a terrific little building in the up and coming East End of Toronto.
