LOFT BUILDINGS

Twenty
20 Niagara Street
Twenty is located east of Bathurst Street and south of King Street West. It houses just 22 suites and 24 parking spaces. The property is actually attached to the Victoria Memorial Park (now a National Historic site). All of the units face east to the park and further beyond lie some of the best views of the skyline. The building was built by Cohen and Alter in 1998 (now Context Developments), the architect was Wallman Clewes Bergman (now Architects Alliance). Now one of the most sought after residences in Toronto, Twenty houses but 4 suites per floor and every 2 units share a private elevator. On the first to the fifth floor, all units have large balconies and suites range from 1100, 1360 or 1540 square feet, now selling for as much as $600 per square foot. Three penthouses range from 1400, 1800 and 2600 square feet, and to-date only one has ever resold. Ceiling heights are a lofty 10 feet on floors 1-5 and rise 16 feet in Penthouses (living/dining areas have 16 foot ceilings and a huge 16 foot wall of windows). Penthouses have terraces and roof decks. All units are through suites (east/west windows) and the corners have three sides of windows - all units have hardwood floors. Heating is by way of low- pressure hot water radiators, all units have central air-conditioning and most suites have gas fireplaces and stoves. Simply put, all of these suites are stunning, and finding a suite for sale here is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
